When you walk in, you are immediately greeted by the staff. The place is super clean, welcoming and artsy. On the walls, are pieces from local artists and you can browse other handmade crafts while you await this awesome food!
I had the daily "Spotlight": which was the Reuben Cuban. House roasted corned beef, Swiss cheese, whole grain mustard and sauerkraut on fresh Ciabatta bread. The bread comes from one of my other favorite joints: La Farm Bakery in Cary. I also had a side of the garden pasta salad. I consider myself a pasta salad connoisseur and this one I'm going to have to order by the quart. Because I could not make up my mind between having today's special and the Spicy Breakfast Sandwich (served all day)- the owner, Jess Fowler suggested I just have a side of their homemade hot sauce with the Reuben. Good call, Jess. I love to spice it up! I ALMOST finished the whole dang plate. (Ask Rebekah Rhodes who witnessed my attempt to do so.)
All I need now is for you to open up a downtown Raleigh location and my world will be complete. Thank you for a wonderful lunch!
